Oh my goodness!!!! I am so ready to see my Marine and get a hug from him, I can hardly stand it!!! I have not seen him since the 8th of July and well for this mama that is way to long!!! This deployment in some ways seems like it has taken for ever and some ways it seems like just a few weeks ago!!! I can not wait to see him!!!!!

Please continue to pray for him and his guys!!!

Power of Prayer!

Yesterday was a good day! I had heard from Justin on Saturday morning and I knew he was doing good...just not getting his mail as quick as I would like but he was GOOD!!

So at the end of the service Ganky as that our Pastor to anoint Bradley and pray for Justin...I never question prayer but kinda thought it was strange for Ganky to do that knowing we had JUST heard from him. Bradley was anointed and I know that extra prayers just keep him covered a little more!

So then again last night I got in bed late...My Bradley needs some of those prayers! He is going through a break up with his girlfriend and he is so tender hearted he is not dealing with it well! So anyways...about 2:30 my phone rang and well it was Justin!! He once again is doing good!! We talked for a good long time and I just love it that when he gets to a phone he calls!! :) It makes me one happy mama!!

So now back to the anointing of prayer...Justin began to tell me that while on patrol about 8:30 or 9:00 on sunday night which was about 12:30 or 1:00 our time he found an IED and it was a BIG one...10 pounds!! It would have killed him!!!! We both knew that when he was telling me this!!! Then he was hunting the secondary one and never found it!! Later the bomb guys came to the squad leader and said who ever was out hunting that second one was all over the pressure plate but it did not go off!!!

Well I can sure tell you why!!!! Ganky felt it in her heart to have Bradley anointed and well that is why...THE POWER OF PRAYER!! It kept Justin safe from that IED blowing him up!!! My heart is full and I was telling Justin all about this after he had to told me and his words were

"Ganky always needs to follow her heart because that prayer saved my life!!!"

If you don't believe that there is a God...Just say a little prayer and see what he can do!!

Thank you Jesus for answering prayers and Thank you Ganky for following your heart!!!!

I have been around just been busy!!! I have been taking care of this sweet girl while her daddy is fighting for our freedom!! And she is spoiled rotten!! I have taught her some tricks and I have gotten so attached to her!!

Reecy Lynn Simmons

I have been spending a lot of time praying for the other half of my heart!!! I miss him terribly and will be so glad when he is home!! I got a phone call this morning and he informed me he only has 286 days left and he will be home for good!! I cant wait!! I have got lots of letters from him and several phone calls and well all of that makes it a little easier!! And the thoughts of NEVER having to do this again makes it so much better!!! Just keep him and all those serving in your prayers!!

And well the next thing is I am still doing WW and well hopefully today when I weigh in I will have lost 40 pounds!! I am so happy...still got over 40 to go!! I am working on it and it is working!! I had to go buy a new pair of jeans and went from an 18 or 20 in womens to a 14...SO EXCITING!!!

Well just wanted to bring you all up to date on what is going on with me!! Hope that you all are doing well!!

At the age of 18 I had to say goodbye to my sweet precious mama...she was only 63 and well that is way to young to go and I was way to young to loose her...But God knows best and although we may never know why...HE DOES!!!

My Mama was my world...she was my best friend...I NEVER left her side!!! I NEVER spent the night away from her!!! I was with her up until the last breathe she took!!! I can never say how my heart feels because I miss her soooo much!!!

Happy Birthday Mama!!

I miss you each and every day...I know you and Daddy are watching over my Marine and will make sure he is brought back home to us safe!!!

Well at the beginning of the week, I began to feel not so good and well I bet I sneezed 10,000 times in one day!!! I felt like the sneezy smurf!!!

I seem to be better now and I am so glad!!!

Got packages mailed out to Justin this week and I will be making him monkey bread in a jar to send out monday!!

I had a wonderful weekend!!!

I had got a phone call from Justin on Wednesday and then woke up Saturday to a chirp on my phone that he was online...we chatted for an hour and then again later for about 2 hours and then he called!! My heart was so happy!!!

All I want is to be able to hear from him...but after all my questions he may not call or get back online for a while!! HA! I asked him every question you could imagine, and he answered them to the best that he could!

OH HOW I LOVE YOU LCPL. SIMMONS!!!

Then we went to a birthday party for Alexis at church and had a wonderful time!! I can't believe that she is 6...where does time go????

Her memaw made a smurf cake and did a really good job too!!!

And here are two girls that are the best of friends and wanted me to take some pictures of them!!

Well to go ahead and get the complaining out of the way...I have a twitch in my left eye and it is driving me crazy!! I have had it for 4 days now and well from what I can tell it is from stress and tiredness!!!! Imagine that...I have both of those and do not see any break from either!!! I wish it would just stop!!!

OK so now on to the fun part...I WENT TO SIX FLAGS OVER GEORGIA!!

I hate that place...I DO NOT ride any of the rides!! The USMC keeps me on a roller coaster in life and I do not like it, and I really do not like any of the real roller coasters!! I am terrified of them!! I rode a couple of rides with Alex and Aver but for the most part...I SAT AND WATCHED!!

This is the group that went and as you can see it was a large group!! Had a lot of fun with them and glad I went except it was SO HOT!! I know that the kids enjoyed themselves and maybe next year I will just stay home and have dinner ready for them when they get back!! HA!!

Still no word from Justin! I know that he is busy and I have to keep in mind that "NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!!" Sometimes that is easier said than done!! But I am trying...and well I am not doing such a good job at it!!! I have a package I am sending out today...sure hope he is getting all his goodies that we are sending him!!

I know that Justin is busy and doing his job and I know that when he gets a chance he WILL call!!! I know all of this and I know....I KNOW!!!!

I am so close to my children and well it has been 17 days since I have heard from Justin and just to be honest it is killing me!! I am staying busy at work and trying my best not to eat through my stress and I try to think positive and be understanding about the situation that he is in!!

But each of you put your child on the battle field and don't hear from them for 17 days and tell me how you feel!!! I hear all the time he is ok and not to worry. Well its not that i think anything is wrong...I JUST WANT TO HEAR FROM HIM!! He is out in the heat and wearing full gear and walking everywhere he goes! I am so glad that I NEVER have to do this againg once this is over...He will be done!!! I see where others get phone calls and still I get nothing...My heart is HEAVY!!

I WANT A PHONE CALL...I NEED A PHONE CALL!!!!

I jsut wanted to stop by for a bit!!! Special prayers needed!!

One of the group in Justins unit ran over an IED the other day and thank God they are all ok...those things are so dangerous and I hate them!! They seem to me to be a cowardly way to hurt our guys...they don't want to face them face to face so they bury these things and when our guys ran over it...well it blew up the truck!!!

I can not imagine that phone ringing even to tell me that he is fine but...

I am thinking that Justin is VERY busy doing his job...have not heard from him in 16 days and well I just am not use to that!! We talk all the time and this is very hard for me...but I am coping with the situation and thankful for my family and friends that keep me calm!!! I have my moments just like most Military Moms do that has a child in the sand box!!!

Sent out more packages this week already and actually got the stuff to fix up another one!!!!

During the Deployment period I keep my phone glued to me...ALWAYS!!! I never know when it may ring and someone special will be on the other end!!!

When I go to bed, it is right beside me next to my ear so that I make sure that I hear it ring!!

When Sunday night/early Monday morning it went off...Oh the excitement!! I just straight up out of bed and answer!!!

And yes...IT WAS MY MARINE!!! Calling from thousands of miles away and it was clear as a bell and did not have that delay!!! I feel so very blessed!!!! He is so darn sweet and I love him so much but after a few days of not hearing from him I LOVE hearing that voice say "I love you Mom"!!

Doing His Job!!!

Its that time again...pray pray and pray some more!!!

Justin is a Grunt/Infantryman for the USMC and well that puts him right out there on the front line!!! My nerves are shot and my heart is broke!!! I hope to hear from him soon, but I know that NO news is GOOD news!!!

He knows his mama loves him and that I am here praying every second of every day until those boots touch US soil!!!

I ask each of you to please put him on your prayer list!!

Ganky had us all over for a swim and a hot dog for the 4th and well it was a wonderful time!! We each enjoyed it so much and memories were made that will never be forgotten!!!

PRE-DEPLOYMENT LEAVE...UGH!!!!

That's right...he is going back...not looking forward to it!!! :(

He got to come home for a few days and I am sure enjoying him being here!!!

The church did something special for him and gave him a sweet gift to carry with him while he is in the SAND-BOX!!! Covered him with lots of prayers and will continue to pray for him while he is gone!!!

I love this young man...my son...my Marine....my HERO!!!!!

My heart is so heavy and dreading the day he has to pull out of my driveway to head back!!! I just got him back and now he is leaving again!!!

I am soaking every moment with him in this week and doing only what he wants to do!!! I am cooking what he wants to eat and well just focusing on him!!!

Please keep my son in your prayers he will be heading back to Afghanistan VERY soon and all your prayers help bring him home safe last time and well LADY'S let do it again!!!!

Sweet Summer Time

And I am looking so forward to spending a week at the beach except for the fact that my Marine will probably be deployed while I am there!!! Can't change it...already paid for the room!!

But while he is home for his pre-deployment I am taking a day and going to Tybee Island so that he can get in some beach time!!!

Heavy Heart!!

This young man sure knows how to pull at my heart and it sure does hurt sometimes!!

I know we have made it through one deployment and now we are facing another one and the time for him to leave is quickly approaching and well it makes my heart so heavy!! I worry so much...he joined the infantry and so that right there puts him on the front line!! I can't stand the thoughts of him going back to that big sand box!! I woke myself up the other night crying and had dreamed about him!! I know that prayers work and I will be doing lots of it in the months to come!! I just sure hate to see him leave!!!!

I have not got to spend a lot of time with him this time and he gets a short pre-d leave and well I wish I could just keep him here but the USMC is bigger than me and he has to go!!! I just pray for his safety and for me not to go insane!! I think that my tears are stuck in overflow and that is all I have been doing...CRYING!!!

I will get to see and talk to him for a few weeks to come and then after that I will be depending on those darn satellite phones!!! I need bounty to soak up all these tears!!!

An Old Fashion Home Coming!!

Each and EVERY year we have homecoming at our church on the 2nd Sunday of June!! And so yesterday was the day!! We have taken pictures each year and Ms. Janice does this board and it shows those that have joined us in the past and present!

We had a table full of food that I never even went through the line and looked at! I took my plate of food, I got weight I am still trying to loose! I knew that looking at all that food would temp me to make bad choices and so I didn't want to mess up the fact that I have lost 23 pounds!! But I can promise you there was good food on this table!!

Everyone enjoyed it!!

It was a wonderful day, but by the end of everything, I was exhausted!! All that cooking and setting up just wore me out!! I came home and relaxed in our pool for a bit!!

Off work today and gonna get some house work done!! Hope that you all have a wonderful day!!

Oh yes I am...ONE PROUD MAMA!!

All three children have now graduated!! That is a big accomplishment these days!! Jeff and I were talking just a few minutes ago and we made through all the years of school with no one getting suspended, or getting in any kind of real trouble! I AM SO PROUD!!!

These two people in this picture with Britani and Bradley, are two of a kind! They have been there for my children like no other two people could or would!! Ganky and Pa are so much like their grand-parents!! My mama and daddy would be so proud and Theresa has seen my family through so many hard time, happy times. sad times and well she is there for me no matter what!!!

Thank you Theresa and Marc!!! You two are so special to us!!

You will never know what y'all mean to us!!

When we began this home school journey I was sure how we would do but Ashley and Kurt moved just minutes away and well she knew all about the work they were doing and was able to help the to the very end!!! Thank you Ashley!!

This is a picture of Bradley with a very nice man, Mr. G! He worked in the office of Newton High all the time Bradley and Britani was there!! He really took to Bradley and was so happy that he was invited to the graduation!!

Since the day she was born she was special to me!! Tracy and her family have been such a special part of my life and my childrens life!! I always said if something happened to me before my children were grown I wanted Tracy and Derek to finish raising the for me!! They have been there for me all the way through!! I love them all so much!!!

Six years ago this very special man came to our church to be our Pastor and he is not only our Pastor but a very dear friend!! He has now been able to see all 3 of my children graduate!!

Bradley is a people person and loved most of his teachers throughout the years but this teacher, Ms. Carlock was his very favorite! She has stuck with him and help him when all the other teachers would have given up!! She still to this day is so special to him!!!

Robert and Bradley have been best friends since middle school and no matter what they still find their way back to each other to be there when they need each other!!

Where has time gone?

I want to start out by saying I am not a Grand Mother but Tracy's children are about as close to grandchildren as I will have for a while (I hope)!!

I can remember the day Alex was born and she stole my heart!! I never thought she could pull at my heart strings the way she does and then came along Avery and well I had enough love for all four of Tracy and Derek's children!! I just can't believe how they have grown up! Both Alex and Avery were graduating and well we all could not be at both so they put all our names in a hat and picked who would go where!! I was chosen to go to GWA and see Alex graduate!!

She is so precious!!

She will be the graduating class of 2023!! That sounds like a long way off but time is flying by!!

She got her diploma and was so happy!!

Now the Graduations continue...My Twins Graduate tonight!! My heart is full and I am so happy for them! I just sit and think about all the children growing up and well I begin to let the tears flow!! I am just not doing very good with it!!

Justin is doing good and I get to text with him a good bit for now, but he will go to the field Sunday and be gone for a couple of weeks!! I love him and miss him terribly but I know he has to do all this to stay safe during his deployment!!

Hello...My name is Reecy!! I am staying with my grandma while my dad is doing some training and getting ready to go to that big sand box as grandma calls it!! I am enjoying the stay with her...she is spoiling me!!! I sure miss my dad but I know that he would be with me if he could!!

I know that my grandma got a phone call yesterday because she was so happy!! She is not liking not being able to talk to him...I think she loves him a whole lot!! From what I understood he was doing good!!

My grandma talks about her blogging friends all the time and I wanted to be a part of all this stuff!! I also know that the there are these other people named Bradley and Britani here that are gonna be doing something next week and grandma is getting things ready for! I think they said they are graduating!! Must be something big and I think they are planning a party!! I hope I get to be a part of all that too...I promise I would be a good girl!!

Well I guess I better get going looks like grandma is getting ready to go somewhere so I have to be put up!! I can't be left out cause I like to tear up stuff...I am still a puppy!!!

I can't believe that these two kids are so grown up and that they are fixing to graduate!!

Theresa and I went up to Daddy's and took some pictures and I love EVERY one of them!!

I love this one!! The old home place address!! I bought Daddy this mailbox just before he got so sick and past away!!!

We only have a couple of weeks left of school and then they will be finished!!

I am feeling so sad!!! Too much going on for me!!! Not sure how much my heart is gonna be able to handle...All I can do is PRAY!!

Busy is a good thing but sometimes I want to share things and I just don't have time!!! But tonight I am taking the time while watching DWTS!!!!

And to begin with it was Nursery Rhyme Day at Avery's school and so she was Little Bo Peep!!

Isn't she precious!!

A couple of years ago most of you will remember my sister Barbara's house flooded and so she was able to sale it back to the county and this is what they did with it!! They are making green space there so no one has to worry about the flooding again!!!!

Just is suppose to be going to California for some training so I have the grand puppy!! Her name is Reecy and she is a handful!!! Not sure really what kind of dog she is...but we love her and we are taking really good care of her!!

But then on Wednesday someone backed into the side of his car!!! But it is already in the shop and being fixed!! Yayy....thank God for USAA auto insurance!!! They move quick!!

And then on Friday, he called and said...."I think I broke my nose"!! And well he did and may possibly need surgery!! :(

On Saturday, We went to visit him in Jacksonville and this display was up at Walmart and well I love anything that says USMC!!!

And since we went up on Saturday that meant I got to spend Mother's Day with all three of my children and I enjoyed the heck out of it!! They knew that I really didn't need anything but just being with them was EVERYTHING I NEEDED!!! They all three gave me a really sweet card and then when I got home my adopted daughter Ashley gave me another one and I felt so much love from each of them!! I love them all and would not have my life any other way!!

Then today!!!!

It was Theresa (Ganky's) Birthday and we had lunch at her favorite Chinese place!! I didn't eat cause I have weigh in Wednesday so no cheating here!! Tracy and I put together dinner for her tonight and it was so much fun!!

So this blog post was a little of this and a little of that...But everything that has been going on around here!! I am busy working and planning my meals and trying to loose this weight!! I hope that each of you have a wonderful evening!! And please pray for Justin...His nose is hurting him!!!

I got up this morning and went to WW!!! I seem to always feel nervous when this day comes...because I am being accountable to someone for what I am doing!!

And just like always...I WAS NERVOUS TODAY!!

I went...got on those scales and what???

I lost 4.8

Thats right...

total of 16.6 pounds in 6 weeks

about 65 sticks of butter!!!

I can tell you one thing I am beginning to tell it!! I feel better and seem to have more energy!!

Getting Ready!

So often when we are growing up we have friends that we go to school with or that we met along the way and then you loose touch with them. Well with me I grew up with family and Tracy is a very special person to me! My mama kept her while Theresa went to work and we are more like sisters!! She is such a sweet young lady!! I love her and she is one of my very best friends ever!!!

And a lot of sisters grow up together and stay close through out the years but I was not around when my sisters were all growing up...I was a late in life baby!! But I have been so very lucky to be able to be close to my sisters!! Theresa took me in when our mama died and did her very best to finish raising me!! I am so proud to call her my sister and my friend!!!

And well here are my Children on Easter!!

I have a lot going on and a lot to get ready for!!!

Justin is leaving next week to go for more training to get ready to go to the big sand box! I am not looking forward to him to leaving me again!!! My heart just breaks everytime I think about it!! I pray for his safety during this deployment and for my strength to get through this!!! And then on top of all that...The twins are fixing to graduate!!! My heart just aches know that my babies are growing up and there are no more!! I have a lot of planning and parties to get ready for!! I just hope that my poor little heart can take all this!!

I have to go to WW tomorrow...I hope I have lost 2 or more pounds!!!(I will let you know!)

Special visitor coming in!!

Oh yes that is right....LCPL. Simmons will be coming home tomorrow!! It has been a while since I have seen him and I am looking so forward to this visit!!

This will be the first Easter that Justin has been home since he joined the USMC. I am so excited that I do not have to box up his Easter stuff and mail it off!! He has a lot more training to do but will enjoy this weekend of just being at home!!

I got to speak with him on the phone yesterday and he has given me a list of food that he wants while he is home and so I will be cooking everything that he wants!! He is tired of MRE's and snack food!! He is wanting some of his mama's cooking!! :D

(And no this is not my table of food but I will feel mine up with lots of goodies and will show you later!!)

I have to to WW today and weigh in...Not feeling like I have lost this week!!! But I will let you know!! Lots of stuff going on this week and weekend...But I will enjoy every second of it!!

Grandma that is!!!

I have had a busy weekend!! A friend of mine from church got married and it was absolutely beautiful!! I love weddings!! Here is the wedding party and the 3 children are theirs the little boy and girl is hers and the older boy is his...ON BIG HAPPY FAMILY!!

After the wedding I went to pick up these two sweet children!! They said last week that they never get to come to my house and that I am always at theirs!!! HA!!

I decided while I had them and they were dressed up for church that I would snap a few shots of them!! They are so precious!! I love these girls so much and sometimes feel like I am their Grandma!! And I even get asked if I am and to be honest I have told people I was!! I love them so much and would be proud to call them my grandchildren!! Well that is about it for me!!! I am off here to go gather up stuff for our Sunrise Service Breakfast that I will be cooking for the church!!! I hope that each of you have a great day!!

Another week on the scales

I went to WW yesterday and was feeling a little nervous because I had started walking and knew that built musle!! But I got there and had lost another 1.4!!! I am so happy!! Total of nine pounds in three weeks!! Yay me!! Not slot going on here! The twins are finishing up their senior year and Justin is still out in the field!! But he will be home next weekend!! I can't wait to see him!! I know it is Easter and o would be doing some cooking but I really will be doing lots of cooking for him!! I am really shooting for more like three pounds this week so I am tracking better and drinking my water really good!! I can do this!!

So I have lost a total of:

34 STICKS OF BUTTER!!!

7.6 pounds in just 14 days!! I am so excited!! I still have a lot more to go but at least I am going in the right direction....DOWN!!!

I have been fighting a scratchy throat and a cough but I think I have it just about knocked out!! It rained here just about all week, but this weekend is looking beautiful!! I got up and went to the grocery store and looking for Britani and Easter Dress!! Found one but it had a stain on it! :(

I did hear from Justin again today! He out doing some training and I am so glad to hear from him each time he gets a chance to call or text!! The other two guys around here got up and decided they wanted to go fishing!! And they actually caught some...fresh fish to go in the freezer with our fresh beef!!

I have chicken in the oven baking and some sweet potatoes too!!! YUMMY!! I seem to do a lot better with my diet if I eat at home so at home is where I will eat!! I have to weight in on Wednesday and I hope to loose some more!! :)

I have a confession...during the past year I have REALLY gained the weight and I know that "Deployment" is in the near future and lord knows I can't gain more!! So last week Tracy and I went and joined Weight Watchers!! Yes I have way more to loose that her but she is such a great support to me!!

I LOST 5.4

All I can do is work toward loosing again next week!! I am so excited!!

My goodness, where has time gone!! I can't believe that this little girl is 5 years old today!!

I have been with her since the day she was born and I love her so much!!

She is such a sweet child, always giving a compliment.

I enjoy every second I get to spend with her!

Tracy and Derek have allowed me to take care of Alex and Avery and I can never tell the love I have for them and the family! I love them so much and I am so honored to be able to spend so many days with them! So thank you Tracy and Derek for sharing your family with me!! They have brought so much joy to my life. I know there are days that I would have never gotten out of bed and they brought smiles to my face and made that day so worth being out of bed!

I hope Avery has a wonderful day...I have her cookie cake made and we will celebrate one more time with her class at school today!!

I can remember back 15 1/2 years ago, this beautiful little baby was born! My great-niece Autumn Leigh Parrish!!! She was so precious then and still is today!! I enjoy being around her so much and love her wonderful spirit that she has!! She really reminds me of my Bradley!!

Yesterday, she went to prom with her boyfriend Justin and she was absolutely beautiful!! She looked like a princess!!!

I love her hair, her dress, heck I love her!!!

I was with her when she was getting dressed and well I got to paint her toe nails!!! Every little thing counts!! :)

Not much going on here for me but life is fixing to get really busy! Easter is coming up, graduation, Birthdays and sadly to say...DEPLOYMENT!!! I know, I hate to hear that word and you all hate hearing it. But it is true and I do not like it but we have a count down going and he will be home with me to live in 467 days!!! :D

What been going on?

Ok well to start with NO pictures!! I have not had my camera with me a whole lot simply because life has been boring around here!

I will start off by saying that we are getting ready to head to the big ole stupid sand box again and I really hate to see it come...I know I made it through once but the dangers are still there and my nerves get the best of me just thinking about it. He is doing lots of training and won't be home much!! :( I hope that he gets a pre deployment but it just isn't looking like he will! All I can do is PRAY!!!

I have been doing school work and taking finals and getting finished up with this quarter!! I have to go in on Monday and turn in my English final and that will be it for me!! I have also been working when I am not at school so I have been busy! Just nothing all that exciting!!

Today I have Avery's Birthday Party and so I will be taking pictures of that and I will share those with you!! I hope to start blogging a little more now that the quarter of school is over!

I got to have WHAT??

This is a picture of me with dots...chicken pox? Well I wish because then I would not have to have the shots!! As you all know I have been in school to become a Medical Assistant and it is getting down to the point to where I am fixing to do my intern. So therefore I have to have a immunization form. WHAT? I am 41 years old and both my parents have passed away and so has my pediatrician. So what in the world am I suppose to do? I have asked all my sisters if they remember me having the chicken pox and this is what GANKY sent me!! I laughed so hard I about peed my pants!!

I apparently have never had the Chicken Pox!! But I can get my immunization records from the Health Department!!! But I will still have to have several shots to get me where I can do my intern!! UGH...I HATE SHOTS!!!

I just had to blog about this and show you me with Chicken Pox!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

Justin came home this weekend and wanted to spend some time with us because he will now start his training to get ready to go back to that big old sandbox that I hate so much!! I think we may go up there in the next couple of weeks to get some of his stuff so that when that time comes it is not so much to do!! He will be leaving for AP Hill soon and then to 29 Palms so it will be a while before he gets to come home again!! :( My heart breaks and yes I cried when he left yesterday...I know we made it through one deployment but the thoughts of another one just breaks my heart!!

We had our company to come in from Kentucky and we had a lot of fun!! This is the parents of Bradley's girlfriend and we have became really good friends!! They are really special people!!

Stuffy and Sneezy

I first want to say that I am LOVING this weather!! I have been so ready for warmer temps for so long and finally we have had some!!

BUT...there is a problem!!!

About 5 years ago I quit smoking and since then I have had some horrible allergies!! I take 2 Benadryl every night and so from that I have no trouble!! OH...I forgot to take it last night....I am stuff and sneezy!! UGH!!! AND I DID NOT SLEEP WELL!!!! I can't take it during the day because I will be snoozing and then that would cause problems for sleep tonight! But I bet I will try to work in a nap today!!

So my friends...I have not had a good night but I am hoping for a good day even with the lack of sleep and allergy crap!!

Whats been going on?

I have had a lot of stuff going on. As you know I am in school full time and also working 32 hours a week. So my schedule is pretty full.

I had the girls over this past weekend and we had so much fun! It was Jeff's birthday and we had a small gathering and just had a blast!

We took the girls to Dairy Queen Sunday after Church and we had an ice cream and lots of laughing!!

Aren't they precious!!!

And we all know that last year we bought a cow and Bradley showed him in several cow shows but it came time to have him slaughtered and that is what we did!!!

These burgers were YUMMY!!!!

I have a roast on for dinner tonight...I have plenty of meat...over 450 pounds!! We won't have to buy meat for a long time!!

That is about it for us...I have been taking test and doing homework and just been busy!! I hope all is going well for each of you!

This will be a busy weekend...Bradley's girlfriend and family is coming in for a visit!!!

I will be spending the day studying for a test and then off to school. But for dinner I will be with some of those that I love and hold very dear to my heart...Jeff, Bradley and Britani!! I spent the weekend with my Marine and enjoyed every minute of it!!

Yesterday marked the one year mark since the US inserted into Marjah. My son was in the unit that went in and started the take over. It will be on HBO this Thursday...I have watched some clips and can't believe that my son was in all that!!! I am so relieved that he made it back safe and I am so sad to know that he will be going back!!! My heart breaks to think about it! But I know that God is in control!!

Well I will start out with this...I have been so sick!! I caught a tummy bug some where and boy did it get a hold of me!!! UGH!!! I have been so sick...but better now!! I am weak and so sore from being so sick! I hope no one here catches it...I have been spraying and cleaning as much as I can so that they don't!!

And then let me tell you....I have had my gut full of the white stuff this year...And we woke up to it again today!! Not a lot and not on the roads just on the grass and trees...THANK GOD!!

I am so ready for the spring and summer time!! I don't think it can get here quick enough!! I wounder if I go buy some flip flops and shorts if it will speed it up any at all! I know that the stores have it out...so I may try it and see!!!

I hope that you are doing well!! My Marine will be floating back in this weekend because...His little brother Bradley went home with him this past weekend and they are coming home...Plus I have the Valentines Banquet this weekend at church!! And if you all remember I was sick this time last year with the same thing...CRAZY!!! But I am better and will be making the sauce tomorrow and this banquet will be as perfect as it always is!!!

I know you all remember oh so well the 7 months of my Justin being deployed!!

Well he is gonna be on TV!!! A reporter followed them around and so now it is gonna be on HBO!!

What time: 9:00-10:30

I will be recording it and watching it!! I have seen several of the clips and can't believe that my sweet little boy did all that kind of stuff with all that gear and in that kind of weather!!! It will make you really appreciate the Military even more than you already do!!

Justin joined the USMC with not a real job in mind so he is a GRUNT...he is on the front line of a gun fire. A lot of guys have jobs and get to stay back at camp and do the work that no one ever sees. So many of the guys are never noticed in these type documentaries because they aren't the ones being shot at. So understand that if you watch this...it is real and it is graphic!!!

Today is not a lot going on...I was told by Avery (my 4 year old great niece) that I would be a better Cindy if I went to ball games like Ganky(her Grandma and my sister) haha!! So I think Austin has a game today and I will be going...I think Avery is wanting something from the confession stand (you know the snack bar)!!!! I hope that each of you have a wonderful day!!!

Do Nothing Saturday!

It was a Saturday that I had really nothing to do! I had planned on cooking dinner for my BIL Jerry and that was about it! I only left the house to go and get a few things that I needed for dinner and next weeks meals!

Here is a picture of him opening his gifts!!

It was a small gathering but it was a WONDERFUL visit!!

Wally was very interested in what he was getting...only because while he was opening his gifts he wasn't petting him!! ;)

Me and Brenda cooked and we had Ritz cracker chicken, mac&cheese, cornbread, beans, deviled eggs, cole slaw, sweet tea and a devils food cake!!

Everything was yummy and just really enjoyed the company!! After we were finished with dinner the phone rang and it was Justin (my Marine) and his friend Josh...Singing a song to me:

"I LOVE YOU, YOU LOVE ME, WE'RE A HAPPY FAMILY" By Barney :) We all laughed and enjoy the duo by them!! Always love to hear from him!!!

This week has been one of those week! I was enrolled to take three classes and then one of them got dropped and so I decided to call Tracy and see if I could go back to work around my two classes....And she let me!! YAYY!!! I have worked for years and then when I wasn't it was putting a financial strain on us and so now I am back and it will sure help us out!! So anyways...after my first day of being back at work on Tuesday, I went to the school to look at book cost and really find out what happened to my class that got dropped!! So they found it and got me in one...what? 3 classes and work...yes that is right...I have one online class and one that is half classroom and the other is classroom only! So I think I can do this...I will surely give it a good try!!

SO I AM BACK IN SCHOOL AND BACK AT WORK!!! Busy me!!!

I have a few pictures to share with you from the snow/ice!! First is Wally...when we have a fire in the fireplace...this is where he lays...Nice and warm!!

Can't blame him!!!

When we were able to get out, I took a few pictures of how things looked!! This is a pasture behind us and the cows were no where to be found!! Guess they were staying warm too!!

A church just down the street...I thought was pretty with all the white around it!!

And now for my trip...these two were the happiest two young kiddos ever!! To see my son so happy made the trip so worth it!!

I told them I had to take plenty of pictures of them so when they do get married we have lots of pictures for a picture board!! :)

So that has been about it for me...Back to school tomorrow for me....YAYYY!!! I will go today and get my books so that I will be all ready for it tomorrow!!! I am so excited!!

Going on a trip!!!

We have been snowed in for days and now we are going on a trip! It has been planned for a while and we were thinking that we may not get to go but it looks like we are gonna be making our trip to KENTUCKY after all!!!

Why are we going to Kentucky you ask?

Well about 2 years ago Bradley met this sweet girl in Panama City Florida and they talked the full time we were there...7 days!! We all had dinner together a couple of times and became friends with the family. And these two have continued to talk since then! We have been making arrangements for them to get to see each other for a while now! So now it our turn to take the trip there!! Never been before...Jeff made the last trip, but this time we all are going!!

I know they are young and it could be just a fling, but they insist that they are gonna get married and live happily ever after!! What a story to tell their children if it really happens!! I love Tiffany and her family and as long as they wait until they are both out of school and that means college...I would be ok if they did get married!! But still too early to be making plans for all that!! :)

So today I will be finishing up my packing and cleaning...so I can come home to a clean house!! Granny (Brenda) will still be here and taking care of Wally...we are taking Dixie with us!!

Wow!! We have had a week of it!! I enjoyed the snow...not so much the ice but I have enjoyed being here in the the house cooking and hanging out with the family!! I have handled all of it VERY well!! But let me tell you...

Snow 2011

Well I got my wish!! I wanted snow and I GOT IT!!

I love it and I love to see it fall and I was probably worse than a kid!!!

The two puppy dogs out checking things out!

Bradley and Britani got out the boogie board that they play with in the ocean and used it for a sled!! They had a blast!!

Then they got out the 4 wheeler and they really had fun with that!! They tied a float to it and went down the road!! I have never seen two kids have so much fun ever!!

Here is Britani and Bradley on the 4 wheeler and they are pulling their dad!! I would never get on there...I am to scared I would get hurt!!

I have enjoyed the snow/ice and being stuck in with the family and hanging with our neighbors!! We are having the time of our lives!!

Warmer temps do not look they are in our future and we were to go to Kentucky this weekend so we will just have to wait and see!!

Ok...I really do! Living here in the south we don't get much of it so with the slight threat of it well us southerners go CRAZY!!! We rush to the stores to get the bread, mild, eggs and anything else we may need for the one day that it normally last!! But this time they are planning that it could be more and last for several days!!

I AM SO EXCITED!!

I have everything I need to last me for a few days!! I am making some dumplins and a cake and that will last us while we are stuck in!! :)

Happy New Year to each of you!!

I can't believe it is a brand new year!! I have thought about the past 12 months and all the things that I have gone through....but not alone...I was able to share it with each of you!!

I awoke on Jan. 2010 with my son in the dreaded place called "AFGHANISTAN"!!!!

For 7 more months we all shared happy phone calls, sending off care packages, worrying about not getting a phone call and then PRAISE THE LORD....HE CAME HOME SAFE!!!

Twins went to prom...getting ready to graduate and just enjoying life as 17 years old!

I have cooked more this past year than I have ever cooked in my life and would not take anything for it!! I just love putting a smile on the faces of those I love!!

My year was blessed and I have enjoy riding the roller coaster ride with each of you and I know some of the things that lye ahead of us are gonna be tough but we are strong and we will make it...TOGETHER!!

Thank you all for sharing this ride called "LIFE" with me!! You each are very special to me!!

A toothache!

No not me...My husband! He has been dealing with a toothache and if i knew how to pull it...trust me I would! We have an appointment this morning to let someone look at it and hopefully pull it...Or I am gonna run away!! I know that it hurts and I know that it is about the most unbearable pain EVER so I am trying to have lost of patience!

So please pray that they will be able to pull it today and it not cost me an arm and a leg but if it does I will gladly give them both to get this toothache fixed!! :)

Fun Times/Lazy Times

We had a little bit of snow here and well when we do we shut down EVERYTHING!!! Us Southerners DO NOT know how to drive in just a half inch and so therefore we had no church yesterday! SO I WAS BUM!!! I did not a lot of anything...I did cook dinner!! But that was about it!

The one thing that I did do was play this!!

Ganky and Pa gave it to us for Christmas and OMGoodness it is the most fun ever!! Britani, Granny and myself have played so many times!! I am addicted!! I get up wanting to play and all through out the day and then before I go to bed!! I may need to go to Scrabble Flash Anonymous!! :)

Well today I will be working on taking down some Christmas decorations and getting the house back to as normal as I can!!

Here is my Tree!! I love it and I have enjoyed it so much!! I really hate to take it down but I will be putting it back up in July for Justin to have Christmas before he deploys again!

My kids gifts all out from santa!!

And the kids are up and seeing what they got!

The dogs are being curious...they got gifts too!

I got the girls some people and animals...I have no idea what they are but they loved them and that is what matters!!
Well it is over and done...I enjoyed every moment of it!! I LOVED having my Marine home!! It was a perfect Christmas...and then it snowed!! Not too much but it did snow on Christmas!!

Guess who is coming to town?

NO...not time for Santa yet....But it is my Marine!! He is coming in town this evening and I am so excited and feel so blessed to be able to have him home with me this year!

On December 16th of last year he had to leave and go to Afghanistan and well it was a journey that I wish to never take again! I love my children with all my heart and I tell you one thing it hurt so bad to not have him with me for Christmas! I am so thankful for being able to have him this year! I know that I sit here this morning and I am so excited because he will be heading this way in just a few short hours and then once he is here for a day or two my nerves get a little frazzled but I am still so thankful to have him here to help his brother and sister frazzle my nerves!! :) I have bought the groceries for us to have around here to eat...about $200 or more!! A Marine can eat some home cooked food!!!

We have had a very busy weekend but it was wonderful!!

These two little girls came and spent the night with me Saturday and stayed with me at church on Sunday for our Christmas program! They are so special to me and I love them so much!! I am so glad that Tracy and Derek share their family with me!! :)

Alex (on the Left) never cares a lot about sitting with Santa but she just jumped right in his lap and talked to him!!! I was so happy!!

But Saturday night after we got the girls we went to the store and got some fun stuff to do!! They wanted to bake these cookies so that is what we did!

Alex wanted to do the Christmas tree cookies!

And Avery did the Reindeer cookies!! Both were YUMMY!!

We made the snowmen...They were sticky but so much fun!

And they made these fruity pebble Christmas tree snacks!! They ate some of each thing we made and this was there favorite!

We had Christmas with Jeff's family Saturday morning!! I have a busy week this week...can't believe Christmas is almost here!! :) My kids are so excited! Justin will be here tomorrow and we will get to spend so much time together this year!! I have gone and bought groceries and hopefully it will be enough...$200.00 worth! Maybe it will but I am not so sure!!

I took so many pictures trying to get the one for my Christmas Cards and I kept on until I got at least this one here that I think is really good and the others are my bloopers!!

I can't believe it!!

I have to say that with me being 41, I often would question my decision of going back to school and having to learn new things and test every week and then do the finals!!

But I am proud to say I am one more quarter closer to getting my Medical Assistant Diploma!! i have just a little bit more and I will be finished! I have completed all the exams and turned in all my work and I am so proud to say:

"I DID IT!!"

So that is about it for me...needing to find a job to help out with the bills. I am doing some side work to make some extra money so that helps but I do need something more permanent! But God is in control!!

Yesterday I studied all day long...I had an exam and it was over 20 chapters and I knew I needed to pass it!! SOOO I DID!!! I got a 95 on it and I am so happy!! I got my final grade in one of my classes and it is a 86 and the other two have to be finished grading today so I will know about them later! I have a final today in SCT 100 on the computer and then I am finished for the quarter!!

I put in my first resume yesterday! I would like to go ahead and begin working in the medical field and that way I can finish school while working!! Me not working is hurting us financially and I really need to find a job soon!!

It is VERY cold here today and I don't plan on leaving until later this afternoon! I need to get out and find a few more Christmas presents!!

Ist Piano Recital and SNOW!!!

First of all I would like to wish my Brother Marshall and my Niece Tracy and Happy Birthday!!

I love them both and hope they both have a wonderful day!! I will see Tracy tonight to celebrate her special day!!

Oh it was a cold and blistery day!! We had Britani's First Piano Recital and she is loving it!!

She did really good!! it was a small recital and only had eight students playing but it was great!!

And low and behold when we got home we had SNOW!!!! Not enough to stick to the roads but we had a little accumalation on the roof...

I was hoping that it was more but...it wasns't!! It is very, cold here and the wind is blowing which makes it worse.

We came in and built us a fire and I worked on some school work with Kasey and we had Chicken and Dumpling for dinner!! YUMMY!!

So that is about it for me!! I have an exam today so I am off here to study!!

Britani and I got up and watched a couple of Christmas movies while Jeff and Bradley had gone to a cow show...we did the girl thing!! :)

Then we got up and dressed and off to the grocery store we went!!

I got all my candy making stuff and then back home and made some CANDY!!

Britani was mixing up the oreos for the truffles!!

We did some of the more difficult ones today and then after all that I made Dumplins!! It is gonna be really cold here and nothing is better than a hot bowl of dumplins!! We have Britani's piano recital today and then she has her work Christmas party tonight!!

I have a final tomorrow that I am studying for in between other festivities!! Then another one on Tuesday and then I will be DONE!! Well until January!!

One of my favorite times of the year...CANDY MAKING DAY!!!!!!!

Each year I have a breakfast that I do for my family and then after we eat we clear the table and make candy!! This year we had a new member...Our cousin Debbie and she never cooks so it was a treat to have her!!!

Guess Who came for a visit!

So since I started school I do not get to see the girls as often and I tell you what...I miss them so much!!

So when I finished class yesterday I decided I would go get this one and take her to lunch!!

I called Tracy and asked...She said "Sure"!! So off I went!!

We went to Chick-fil-A and then to my house!!

She wanted to see this little doggie "Dixie"!!

And today is her Birthday...Dixie's that is...She is a year old and she has brought so much joy to Britani!!
SO...HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY DIXIE!!!

She is so darn cute!!

She took the camera and took all kinds of pictures!! This is of Mrs. Clause!! She gets to see Santa today at her school and she said she was gonna be brave and tell him what she wants for Christmas!!

Well we dug under my tree for about 30 minutes looking for a present with her name on it...finally we found it!! She was so excited!! The Joy of Christmas for little children is what I think it is all about!!

She wanted to show everyone the stockings were hung by the chimney with care!! In hopes that St. Nicholas would soon be there!!

And I am sure that he will be making a stop by the house for my children!! :)

So this is a picture of my hand!! I was getting a muffin pan out of the cabinet and it was stuck and when I pulled really hard on it, it turned loose and my hand hit the edge of the cabinet!! OUCH!!! It hurt so bad!! A bruise came up immediately and a knot!! It looks way better today! I have been putting Iodex ointment on it and can I just tell you that the bruise is about gone!! I thought I had broke my knuckle and really could have but the Iodex ointment heals it so quickly that it is good now!! PTL!!

I do no have time for a bummed up hand!! I have finals coming up and then I am done for a few weeks!! School today and then nothing tomorrow but study and then Friday I have will be cooking breakfast for my Brothers and Sisters and then we will get busy and make our annual Christmas candy that we do each year!! SO MUCH FUN!!

Field Trip

Yes that is right I am 41 and going on a field trip!! My Anatomy class all decided to go to the Bodies Exhibit downtown Atlanta!! So we loaded up on this bus and off we went!!

And here is the group of us that went!! We only had a few missing but we just had so much fun!! Do you see me?

It was a very interesting trip and would love to go back with the family!! I think they would enjoy it and have loads of fun...Atlantic Station seemed to be a really neat place!!

These Days!!

I have been busy getting school work done and I only have about 2 weeks left in this quarter and I am so happy to be done with the computer classes!!

We have been getting ready for Christmas around here and so Britani and I wanted to see if we could get some pictures of the poochies in front of the Christmas tree and so here is Wally! We have had Wally about 7 years and he is just one of the family! He is just a little mutt but my kids LOVE him!!

Here is Britani's little dog...Dixie!! She is a rounder...but loves Britani so much and Britani loves her!!

During the Thanksgiving holidays I got me a new Laptop!! Lord knows I needed one...My other one is just about ready for Laptop heaven!! I love my new one, I just wish it had the Microsoft 2007 on here but I only have a couple of more weeks of school and I will use my old one to finish out my school work!!
I have not only been busy with school but doing some extra cleaning...I have company coming in this weekend! I know that you all have heard me talk about the girl Bradley likes that lives in Kentucky! Well they are coming in for a visit this weekend! Just so that Bradley and Tiffany can exchange Christmas gifts!!!

So that is about it for me!! I have some school work I may go to the school and do but other than that...CLEANING!!! Ok, well you all have a good day!!

A wonderful Thanksgiving!!

This was a wonderful Thanksgiving and I have enjoyed being with everyone so much! I got a little stressed out at one point on Thanksgiving...the boys like to push my nerve buttons and then Bradley lost the stone out of his class ring and well to just be honest...I got stressed and had me just a good ole cry!! I have a lot that has been going on and now I am getting things ready for Christmas and I am not gonna wait until the last minute to do my shopping...I want it done and have as little stress as I can!! With so much at school I don't seem to handle stress as well!!

But anyways!!! The tree is up here and the mantle is decorated and my guys are gonna put up the outdoor lights today!!! I love Christmas and I love the decorations!!!

Today I am going to a birthday party for my great niece and then home to spend with the family!! We have lots of time together this weekend and so far I have only had the one melt down!!

Thankful these days!

I know...I have been missing in action for this past week and I have not even commented on any ones blog....I am so sorry! I have been just covered up with school work and finally today I have NO school work to do or class to go to so I am free to blog for a minute!!

2 years ago when Justin joined the Marine Corp I already knew that I was so thankful for my family and everyone around me but NOW...I really understand the words "I have so much to be thankful for!!" During this last year I have sent my son off to war and through many many prayers and lots of them from you guys...He made it back safe and sound and really nothing wrong with him!!!
I am so happy to say that I will have my little family all together tomorrow for Thanksgiving!!

I know that I take each day at a time and that we enjoy each holiday as it comes our way and give lots of hugs and tell each other how much we love each other! That "big sand box" will be getting him back mid next year and well I will just enjoy these days together and take those days when they come my way!! So for today my friends:

"I HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR!!"

I will be doing lots of cooking today getting ready for tomorrow! We have Jeff's family gathering at lunch and My family gather for dinner!! So lots of yummy food!!

Oh my goodness...I am in a section of my computer class that is taking me to ACCESS 2007!!! I am not liking it at all...I DO NOT understand it!!! I just think that we should be able to skip this section and move on! I have done really well in Word, Excel but this one is gonna kill me!!

I think that this book was made for me...And I think that I will be going and getting it today to see if it will help to understand this program!!! I NEED help and lots of it!!!

So this is what all I have been up too....TRYING to figure out this database type stuff that I am suppose to be learning!!! My brain does not like it and it is NOT retaining it at all!!
I hope you all are doing well!! I miss you all!!! I have lots going on this weekend...We are having out Thanksgiving luncheon at church and well I have so much to be thankful for this year and I he will be here to celebrate it with me!! Yes....Justin is gonna come home and celebrate Thanksgiving with our church family!!! And then he will be back on Wednesday to celebrate it with our precious family!!!

My weekend...

To start off with Jeff and Bradley went to Kentucky for a trip this weekend...Bradley has a friend (GIRL) that lives there and she turned 16 and he wanted to go...she came to Georgia for his birthday so Jeff took him! Britani had her SAT test Saturday and well I had two little visitors...ALEX AND AVERY!! They are such a pleasure to have around and they just know they have a special place in my heart forever!!!I love to hug them and kiss them and let them know that I am their favorite AUNT!!! hehe!!!

It is very COOL here and well when it gets cool I get really cold!! I have an old sock that I have rice in and I heat it up in the microwave an keep my feet warm at night and then I have a heating pad that i will be pulling out to keep me warmer during the day...I AM VERY COLD NATURED! And I can tell you if my feet get cold it is over...I just am cold all over then!! I like the cooler weather but it makes me not like to get out much!!

I have got a lot of things done to start getting ready to decorate for Christmas...I think instead of buying a lot of gift I may do a little more entertaining this year...being together is what I have learned this past year is REALLY what is important!!! Thanks to the USMC!!!

So that is about it for me...I got the girls some grits cooked and me some coffee made and we are heading to a birthday party later for my great-niece Jada's 4th birthday!!! Family...NOTHING BETTER!!

I just couldn't wait to tell you....I am a very proud Georgia Voter and I even got Justin to go and cast his vote!! Every vote does count and whether the ones you voted for won or not...we need to pray for our leaders!!

And then on to some other news....I am half way finished with this quarter and well I am so proud to say....I HAVE ALL A'S!!!! I am just gonna tell you...it is NOT easy but I am doing all my school work and studying hard and well it is paying off!!

And now on the more good stuf...Justin was home this weekend and we discussed all the foods he wants for Thanksgiving!! We got his leave dates and can't wait to spend the holidays with him and watch him enjoy all the goodnes around him!! In this past year I have so much more to be thankful for than even I did last year!! I know that each day I am thankful...but to think about this past year and well I AM SO THANKFUL!!!!

Such a wonderful weekend I had with all my family together!! Jeff and Bradley will be leaving Friday to go to Kentucky to see a friend of Bradleys...A GIRL!!!! And Britani has her SAT test saturday and so it will be a girls weekend forsure!!

Fun with the Girls!

I have been so into my school that I haven't seen much of anyone lately! I knew they were having Avery's Fall Festival yesterday and so I planned on attending! Alexis wanted to come and spend the day with me and so I went and got her early and she and I went off to the pre-school to visit with Avery!! I stopped and got Alexis a Dorothy costume and she was so darn cute in it and Avery was a Barbie Princess and I sure enjoyed seeing her and getting some real love from her!!

They went on a hayride!! And they LOVED it!!

They played pin the buttons on the scarecrow!!

And this was one of my favorite photos...I caught a bubble in the corner and she was just trying to catch all the other bubbles!

So it was a wonderful day...Avery came back home with me and Alexis and spent the rest of the afternoon! Tracy came to pick up Avery and I got a good hug from Alex too!! It was a GOOD day!!

Justin got a few days leave...A friend of his died on Thursday from a heart attack! He was only 21..I just can't imagine loosing one of my children! I know people do it everyday!! But God knows my strength...he knows the ones that can handle that and he knows that I am not one that could handle that at all!!

My Favorite...

Oh...I have recently signed up to receive a magazine in the mail...something I don't normally do but, Tracy has been getting this one for a while and I always enjoyed looking at it and well the Parrish children were selling magazines for school and so I ordered my own subscription!! I got it yesterday!!

I LOVE IT!!!

With school and everything else going on I don't have alot of time but I really enjoyed sitting and looking at this magazine yesterday!! With me back in school our funds have been cut and so it had some really good money saving ideas...NEED THAT!!! I love the recipes that it has in it and well it is just my favorite!!

I am really ready to start my decorating for Christmas...My favorite time of the year!! It won't be a big Christmas around here this year but we will all be together!!! And to be honest...That is ALL that matters anyways!! My poor husband hates when I get ready to put up the tree cause I think that as soon as November gets here I should start putting it up...I love it and I like to be able to enjoy it more than a couple of weeks!! When do you all start decorating for Christmas?

Fall Festival 2010 and a few other things!

Well it is about darn time this blogger thing let me upload some pictures and get a blog!!!

We had our Fall Festival for the 13th year in a row and well Jeff and I have only been in charge of it for 2 years now but have been helping out with it for all the other years!! We do it each year in memory of James Womack!! He was a man that I for many years knew and he passed away 4 years ago and he is truly missed!! But we keep his memory alive by doing things that he always did...Fall Festival being one and the other being the Valentines Banquet!!!

I fixed up a little area and took my Justins picture...He is so handsome!!

We had a bonfire and cooked hot dogs and roasted Marshmellows!!! YUMMY!!!

And we got Jeff's truck towed to the house an well it about makes me sick everytime I walk by a window and see it!! The adjuster finally has called and well they will be starting work on it by the end of the week!!! Wally was out checking it out and he was so thankful that Bradley wasn't hurt!! But can't believe that his daddy's truck is so messed up!!! Now he can't ride in it to go to the dump...He is so sad!! Poor Wally!! But we did get a rental car today so no more trying to find a ride!!! Praise the Lord!!

And well Ganky did not get to see Justin the last visit but she got some extra hugs in this time and even a few pictures and Justin HATES picture time!! But he did it for his Gank!!!

So that is about it for me...School and cleaning and cooking and laundry is about my life now!!! I hope that you all are doing well!!!

This is my Bradley and he always loves to make a goofy face for the camera!!! He is so silly and yet such a tough fella and then yet so tender hearted!! He is just MINE and I love him so much and well he has had an experience this weekend and I am just glad that he is ok and that to me is all that matters!! He has his first wreck yesterday!!! A church van pulled out in front of him and he tried to not hit them but he just couldn't help it!! He did not get a scratch on him...he is a little sore but for the most part...He is good!!

But can't say that for Jeffs truck...It is messed up!! But it is replaceable and my son isn't!! So therefore I thank Jesus!!!

The fall festival went well I have picture and will tell about it maybe tomorrow!! I wasn't in the mood for it but well It went good and so glad that it is over!!!

Well since there are no images to be uploaded, I will just chat!

Each day seems to be so darn busy and I just really don't take the time to blog much anymore! I am learning so much at school and I have lots of home work and books to study and papers to type and well still take care of my family!!! I go to school Monday-Wednesday and then I have an online class so Thursday and Friday are days that I work on many different things!! I know that in the end that this will all be worth it!

So I see everyone is getting ready for the holidays and things decorated for fall!! Not me...I have not thought about any of it!! I just know that my son is coming home this weekend and I can't wait to see him!!! I know that he will be home for the holidays this year!! YAYYY!!! I am very excited about that...Never know the the USMC so I take what I get!! Here one year...Gone the next!! UGH...the roller coaster they put me through!!

I am getting things together in my spare time for the fall festival at church this weekend!! I have so much on me I am wishing that I had not taken this on...but I did so I will get it done with the help of so many other people from church!! It will loads of fun and then I will be so happy that I did it!! :0

Well I have been trying to blog for 2 days now and it just would not allow me to do it!! But for some reason it is gonna let me today!!! It must be mad at me for not blogging every day! :)

We had such a wonderful weekend and I so enjoyed the cow show!! I wish we had done it years ago!!

Here is McGraw's sign that was above him!! Notice it says HE KICKS!!! I think that McGraw may be a little ADHD or BI Polar!!! But he loves Bradley and Bradley loves him...they work well together!!!

This is Cash...Roberts cow!!! He is such a loving cow and just is mild and will let you pet him!!

Robert, Jenna, and Bradley....They have been with each other for 7 years and will graduate together this year...they are so close and have so much fun together!

This is the show team that showed this weekend from Newton County FFA!! Well the little on the the red boots did not show but she does show a goat!! Her daddy is the FFA teacher!! :)

SO that was my weekend and I tons more pictures and they are on facebook!! I loved it and I hope to be doing it again soon...well November we will be going to Perry!!! Can't wait!!

Yes it is early and yes I can't believe that I am doing this....We are leaving in just a few for our cow show!! Yes that is right...we are loading McGraw up on a trailer...gathering up all his stuff and our stuff and we are heading to a Fair to show off what our cow can do!!! I hope he does good and wins lots for me!! I have not ever been to one so I am kinda excited!!

And Bradley will have me all to himself!!! YAYY!!! Britani is home with Jeff...she has pink eye!!! YUCK!! Busy Days for me!!!

Well...I have not been on here in a few days and I will go ahead and let everyone know...I may not be blogging every day!! I am taking these three classes at school and well they are hard and they are taking up a lot of my time...I have been so BUSY!!

I have not even been on face book much!! I just don't have the time like I did!! I am learning lots and really I am enjoying school it just keep me VERY busy!!

I have in the past 3 days took 6 test and 4 quizzes!! So just know that I still love blogging...I just can't do it as much!! :( I am not even able to comment like I would like to!!

Oh, but Bradley and I will be leaving tomorrow to go to a cow show for McGraw! I have never been to one so, I am looking forward to it!

Today my oldest turns 21!!!

I can't believe it! He has grown up to be such a wonderful young man!! I am so very proud of him!!

He really enjoyed his weekend home and is already planning to come back in a couple of weeks!!

I made the three of them stop this morning for a quick picture!!! I love having my kiddos together!! It makes my family complete!!

And this is Justin and his friend Nate! They had a wonderful weekend!! They are both so very energetic and really just wears me out! I have gotten use to Justin being in North Carolina for most of the time and so then when he comes home I love to see him and have him around but he is just so use to being busy all the time and he wants to keep up with that same schedule here!!

And off they go!!! I will maybe get me some rest today before I have to go to school!! I pray they have a safe trip back!!!

So my weekend was just busy busy!! I have cooked and cleaned and been on the go and I need a NAP!!! :) We missed seeing Ganky this weekend, but we are glad she is having a great time on her trip and Justin said this morning "It just didn't seem right not seeing Gank this weekend!!" He WILL be back in a couple of weeks!! And he WILL see his Gank!!!

He is so special to me and he is MY hero in so many ways!!

He got in about 9:30 last night and I of course had dinner cooked for him! He brought a friend with him and I got to hug 2 Marines and I get to feed them all weekend!! I love it!!

I do so enjoy making my family happy!!

We got him a new car stereo and he is installing it today!! Cooking out tonight for him and just enjoy our time together!!

Oh yeah that is right...JUSTIN WEBB SIMMONS!!!

He is coming home for a few days and I just can't wait to see him!! It has been a while since he has been home and I miss him!!!

He will be traveling in with a buddy today NATE...so I will have 2 Marines in my house this weekend!! Oh yeah, I will be doing some cooking!! :)

I only have about 30 more questions to answer on my test!! It has been a challenge, but I have just about got it done!! I hope that each of you have a wonderful day!!

What I am up to today!!

I am up and got me a big ole cup of coffee and and loving every sip of it!! I have ONE cup every morning and sometimes a Latte later in the day!! I Love my coffee and I enjoy having just my one cup...

while I sit and check out everything on the computer!! I find myself not getting on as much now that school is in and can I just tell you school is going really well!! I get on here and check out the blogs, face book and my email (personal and school)!!!

And today I will be doing a test that my teacher gave me to bring home and do! It is a total of 260 questions and not as easy as you would think with it being a bring home test! It is on 2 chapters and I will be working on that all day today!! Yayy!!

I love my life and yes it does have bumps and crashes in it but in the end...Everything is OK!!

My Marine will be coming home tomorrow for a few days!!! I can't wait, it seems like it has been for ever since I have seen him!! The USMC asked him to volunteer to go back for a year in Afghanistan and THANK GOD he gracefully declined!! He said he just couldn't do that to his family again!! But if they don't get enough to volunteer they may make him so...

He being my Bradley...He is such a sweet fella and loves everyone!! He is very tender hearted when it comes to those he loves!! He is just a sweet sweet guy!! (even if he is mine!)

Last week he went to the doctor because he had a cold and ended up with strep throat and they also found out he has a heart murmur! Yeah no big deal...lots of people have those! So we went back to the doctor for an ultra sound!! And sure enough he does have the murmur and it is not just ONE leaky heart valve it is TWO!!! Doctor say no need to worry we will just keep an eye on it and he is young and strong and he will be just fine!!

As you all know there is always something going on for me and so this wasn't really any different except that it is about my babies heart...I still worry!!

My day yesterday was a much better day and I am loving my classes!! Going to the computer lab this morning to work on stuff and then class this afternoon!! I hope that each of you have a wonderful day!!

Cynthia and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!!!

My day yesterday was just horrible!!! It started out great and then progressively got worse as the day went on...but before bed it got a little better!!

I started school yesterday and well I felt like I needed to go and check on my financial aid and well it is a good thing that I did!!! I had been purged from all of my classes due to a missing piece of paper for financial aid!! I was just so upset!! I had scheduled out my work and I has scheduled out things for dinners and kids and husband and well just life!! So I got the missing paper work done and had to go and re-register...NO CLASSES AVAILABLE!!! I just spent 314 dollars in books...I am gonna take these classes!! Well I got into one and then this very nice lady after about 2 hours of trying to get in the other 2 classed she was able to get me in on the online classes...NOT what I was wanting but I can deal with it as long as I get my classes in!!

I came home and thankfully had a pot of chili in the crock pot and so I didn't have to deal with cooking!! :) I sat and worked on the computer so I can do my online classes and I still can't because I need Microsoft Works 2007!!!! about 150 more dollars...and I just don't have it and so therefore I am trying to borrow it and download it and then I will be good to go!! SO then I decided I would try one more time to get into one of the classes that I feel like I really need to be there to learn how to do everything that will be taught in this class!! And what do you know...I AM IN!!!! I have to be there at 8:10 this morning and I am so excited!!

So...That was my day and as I sat and read all the blogs this morning...trying to catch up!!

I realized...It was just school and so many out in blog world are having so many problems and need so many answered prayers at this point I felt horrible for complaining about my day!!! At least we are all healthy!!

Today is the day!! I start back to school! I took the summer off to welcome home my Marine and now he is back and doing is Marine stuff and the twins are doing their thing and now here I go!! Full time student this time and I got myself a load of books!!

SO HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!

Yesterday was a GREAT day! I went to the church house and then got us a bite to eat and then home for the afternoon and evening! Watched the Falcons and then made up my grocery list for the week and off to the grocery store I went! I was able to get all my laundry done and now I am up an ready to get this day going again!!

My Great-Niece Kristen...Isn't she beautiful!!

I am so proud for her!!

And here she is with her Husband!! I hope they have many many happy years together! Their wedding was just beautiful...I LOVE weddings!!

We all enjoyed it...we ate and dance and just had such a wonderful day! I really enjoyed it and I am so very proud of them!!

And that was about it for me yesterday! I was pooped when I got home and slept like a baby and now up and at em' this morning!! I hope that you all have a wonderful day!!

Well, I have not seen this sweet face in several weeks now!! I am glad that he has friends and is having fun and not traveling up and down the road so often, BUT....I MISS HIM!! I have friends going up to CLJ today and so they offered to take Justin a few things for me!! He wanted a coffee pot and peanut butter bars and a peanut butter cake!! So I got him a coffee pot and baked his goodies and got it all ready to go!!

He will be so happy!! He still loves all the stuff from home but just is such a long drive to get it! UGH!!! But he will be home next weekend...He has a birthday coming!! My baby will be 21 on October 11. !!! I told him yesterday he can't be 21...I am only 29!! :)

Down and Out!

I have been Down and Out!!! My back has thrown me for a loop!!! I have not felt like doing anything...not anything! Not even Blogging!! But I think that I am back and Up and At It!!! I am feeling much better today and got out of bed with no problem!! Thank God!!

My life changed!!

6 years ago my life changed and I tell you what it was for the better! As all of you know I am extremely close to my niece Tracy and her family. Well 6 years ago she gave birth to her 3rd child, Alexandra Leigh Parrish!!

This is her Sunday at her party!!! Such a sweet little girl!!

Now on with my story! I was at the hospital for the birth of all 4 of Tracy's children and in the room with 3 of them! I was right there as Alex was born and was given to privilege to cut her cord and well that tied us together for ever!! I have been with her since that day!! She has me completely wrapped around every finger and she knows it!! If she has the sniffles and her mama says "she is fine!" Well in my arms she is so sick and needs to be hugged and kissed and rocked and snuggled with!!! I just love it!!! I love Tracy's children so much and I know I am just "THE AUNT" but I am accused many times of being their grandma and well I really don't mind...It makes me proud!! :)

Well I hope that Alex has a wonderful Birthday and I will be seeing her today even though it is a school day!! I have to see her and give her a hug and kiss and maybe even another present!! :)

I am off her my back is still hurting and I have to go to my orientation this morning so I pray my back lets me sick through it!!

Oh, What a horrible day it was!!!

22 years ago today, I woke up and found that my Mama had passed away!! And it was one of the most horrible days of my life!! I was 18 years old and would have taken care of her for ever!!! She was my life!! I took care of her from the time she got up in the morning to the time we would go to bed at night!! She was the BEST mama EVER!! I will never be able to fill her shoes!! I can not believe that she has been gone this long...I wish she could have lived to just see my children be born!!

There are many many days that I wish I had her here to help me through things and to love my children so that they could have known what it would have been like to have a loving grandmother!! She would have spoiled and loved these children of mine so much and they would have loved her just as much!!

I have not had such a good day today...my back went completely out on me an I have been in bed just about all day!! I sure hope it gets better...I have orientation tomorrow!!

So a late post for me today...just now getting on the computer!!

It seems as each passing day, each passing week that time seems to go by so quickly!! It seems like just yesterday I was sending Justin off to war and the twins were talking about being seniors. And now Justin is back safely from war and the twins ARE seniors! It is almost the end of September, time is moving so swiftly!! I sat down and looked at a calendar and we are just booked up from now until almost the end of the year!! And then we start a new year all over!! WOW!!

I can remember being a child a wishing I was a grown up and talking about when I grow up I wanna get married and have children...AND I did and now they are about grown and I feel a little sad!! Not that I feel OLD...just everything around me is moving and everyone around me is growing up!! I wish things would really just slow down a bit!!

OK, Ladies I have blown it up!! My DVR is not working any more!!! It has a code EAS and it is not allowing me to change the channel on my television!! UGH!!! I did not even use it last night...I was home and watched what I wanted to see!! Grey's Anatomy...It was good but not what I expected!!! :(

I have my Internet thank the Lord but just have to watch the same channel on television all day and well that is not gonna work!! So Comcast will be getting a phone call from me and we will have to get this fixed A.S.A.P!!!!

As most of you know...Britani did not get her wisdom teeth out yesterday!! The insurance messed us up but we got it rescheduled and hopefully we can get it all done the week of fall break!! Oct.21st!!

McGraw did good at the Gwinnett fair but will be shown today!! Bradley said he is behaving nicely and he think he will do well today!! He is up to over 800 pounds and still growing!! Where's the BEEF!! hehe!! :) Don't tell Bradley I said that!

Everyone remember Britani doing her tomato plant project last year...well she is going to a horticultural state fair this coming week and we have more plants growing and they are blooming and have little tiny tomatoes on them!! I sure hope she does well...The teacher was so impressed with this project and thinks that she will go far with this!! She wants to go into Criminal Justice...Nothing to do with Horticulture!!! But if she wins something from this then, that will be GREAT!!
