It was my turn!!!

It use to be my regular job to cut pops grass, but when he passed away it became all of our responsibility and we take turns doing it! So it was my turn today!! My husband had to go out of town to work for a few days and so therefore I had no way of getting the lawn mower up there! But the grass really needed cutting so my Dear Sister...GANKY loaded up her trailer and mower and Ganky, my son Bradley and myself went to pops to cut his grass!!! And here she sits while Bradley did the cutting! I did offer to do it but he wanted to...so I let him!!!Here is the old home place!!! This place holds so many memories for so many people!! My Mama use to keep Tracy for Ganky while she would work and so Tracy and myself spent many hours together and we had so much fun!! My favorite memory is Tracy and I would sit on the front porch and guess how many cars there would be to come by my house until Ganky would be there! We spent countless hours doing this...day after day!!! I will never forget that for as long as I live!!!

Well Bradley did a fantastic job cutting the grass and my pop would be proud!! Bradley is more like my pop than I actually realize!! And that is not such a bad thing!!! Pop would be so proud of all of his children, grand-children, great-grand-children and great-great-grand-children!!!

Thank you Ganky for the use of the trailer and mower! I love to hang with you...lots of laughs!! I hope that all of you have a wonderful day and I am just about ready for the beach!!!

  2. Yep, Cynthia, Bradley is a unique teenage boy for sure. He reminds me of my own Pop in so many ways. The old house looks so nice when y'all cut the grass. And Auntie Theresa looked nothing like Granny Clampett!

  3. I remember so much about that house and all the great times we had there. I loved that game so much that I taught it to my kids and we used to play while we were waiting on Ganky to come get kids for school. Can't play that game at this house so I guess that is something I will always miss about the old house! Love you and great post.
