I just can't believe it...1 year ago today I got to bring my Marine home!!! This was the most amazing trip I have ever made in my life!! On July the 6th 2008 Justin left me to go to be a Untied States Marine Corps.

Parris Island was an experience that I will never forget!! This was the banner that hung over the road going in.We searched and searched and no of us could pick Justin out!! I knew that he would look different but where is my son!!! When he left me he had glasses and I can't tell if any of those with glasses on is him or not!! To tell you the truth they all pretty much look the same!
NOT...He did not wear them for the graduation and really not for any of the training except the shooting stage!!! Look how handsome my Marine is...I sure do love him and I miss him sooooo very much!!!
I had this banner made to hang at the house....we were all so proud of him and was very glad to have him home!!
I can't believe that it has been a year since Justin became a United States Marine! And a year since I got the chance to meet some of the most amazing people ever...Lynda & Leah!!!

One year down:) It was a wonderful trip and I really enjoyed all of the sounds and excitement of looking for Justin, finding him and giving him a big fat hug! He IS handsome and fine fella! I am looking forward to his visit home next weekend! Love you, SIS

ReplyDeleteYes it was an amazing trip there and we did meet some great people YOU & ME being 2 of them and of course Mudher Leah :) ~ she was our official go-to person on the board because she had "experience" LOL!!! What a year!!!
