Guess who is coming to town?

NO...not time for Santa yet....But it is my Marine!! He is coming in town this evening and I am so excited and feel so blessed to be able to have him home with me this year!

On December 16th of last year he had to leave and go to Afghanistan and well it was a journey that I wish to never take again! I love my children with all my heart and I tell you one thing it hurt so bad to not have him with me for Christmas! I am so thankful for being able to have him this year! I know that I sit here this morning and I am so excited because he will be heading this way in just a few short hours and then once he is here for a day or two my nerves get a little frazzled but I am still so thankful to have him here to help his brother and sister frazzle my nerves!! :) I have bought the groceries for us to have around here to eat...about $200 or more!! A Marine can eat some home cooked food!!!
Well you all enjoy your day!!
Hugs, Love, and prayers to each of you!

  1. WELL... did you have to make me cry first thing in the morning? When I saw that picture, the tears just shot out! My heart is FULL of joy for having him home:) Sadness for those families missing their family members like we did last year:(

I have been looking back over the last year at different times thru my blog, I don't want to forget the trials AND triumphs! When I sat in the car this past week to mail the candy out, I juggled the tape and scissors just like I did when I mailed Justin packages... it brought back so many memories! I still can't walk past those little boxes of milk that I always sent him without getting a little teary eyed! I am so thankful to have him with us this year! He is a blessing to me and all those who come in contact with him! Hopefully he won't eat you out of house and home... yell if you need me to feed him, hehe!

Love you bunches and I gotta go get some tissue:) HUGS from SIS!

  3. Good Morning Cindy Sweetie...
Oh does Justin ever look SO handsome standing in uniform next to that tree. One of these days some beautiful young woman is going to steal his heart away from you. I am surprised she hasn't already.

I tell you, this last year we all prayed so hard for Justin's safety, and through Theresa and your blogs I feel as though he is one of my own. I remember the boxes being taped in the cars. It was wonderful to be a part of that through blogging. You are my sisters in love.

I have 8 hungry grandkids coming for the Christmas dinner along with 8 grownups. Can you imagine the cooking I AM going to be doing?

Enjoy that Marine sweetie. Give him a hug from your Sister in Phoenix. Remind him that he is loved all over the world.

Many hugs and so much love sweetie, Sherry
