I just can't believe it!!

I got in from church last night and did a quick check on face book and I seen where my friend Lynda had posted: R.I.P LCPL CHRISTOPHER "BLAKE" RODGERS!!
My heart immediately broke!!
On facebook I have met lots of Marine families and well...I have met his dad on there and he helped me pray for my Justin while deployed and Blake was deployed in January just after Justin was deployed in December!! They got the news yesterday that he was killed in Afghanistan!!! I just can't imagine their feelings because me not knowing them really well I am just torn to pieces!! I quickly called Lynda to confirm and it was the Marine Dad's Son that has been here for me through everything!!! I just can't believe it!!

This young man is a TRUE AMERICAN HERO!!! All gave some but he gave all!!!! He is from right here in my part of the country!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Keep this family in your prayers!!!

  2. I WILL be praying for the Rodgers family. Every death puts such heaviness on my heart. Sometimes, when there are multiple young men sacrificed, I feel the weight is too much for me...especially with Justin over there still.

It is a pain that is not sharp physical pain but a grieving that hurts so... INSIDE. All military families know but for the grace and sovereign plan of God that could have been their hero child.

    They are in my prayers.
