Birthday Wishes for ROBERT!!

Happy 17th Birthday ROBERT!!!!

I may not have given birth to him but he is just like one of my own! He and Bradley have been friends since the 5th grade and he has been hanging around my house for about 2 years now!!

We are having a bon-fire Saturday for his birthday!! Can't wait to celebrate with him and his family! They are so very special to me!!

Red Velvet Cake Balls

RED VELVET CAKE BALLS!!
These things are delicious!!

Start out with a box of this... follow the directions on the box...3 of these...(eggs)
1/3 cup of this...(water)
1 and 1/4 cup of this...(veg. oil)
mix it up and pour it into a sprayed pan.
Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees!

crumble up warm cake and mix with this...(cream cheese icing)
and this is what it should look like! After mixing it together you need to stick it in the freezer or fridge and let chill completely!!

melt 1 pack of this as package directions show.

Roll chilled cake mixture into ping pong ball size balls and dip into the melted almond bark.
place on a pan covered with saran wrap or aluminum foil or you can use wax paper laid out on the counter!!

Then go ahead and try one....DELICIOUS!!! Everyone that tries them loves them and I hope you love them also!!! Be sure to come back and let me know what you think!!!!

Happy Birthday Libby Porter!

I am so glad that we have got the chance to have her in our life! She is such a joy to have around! I just hink of her as one of my own!!

She is Bradley's girlfriend and they are so cute together! Yeah I know he is a little shorter than she is but it doesn't seem to bother them! Look how happy they are and she has a wonderful set of parents!! We are all going to dinner tonight!! I am sure it will be so much fun!!

Barney and Andy Dunn and I got it right!!!!

Here they are Barney and Andy Dunn!!! They belong to my Pastor Tommy Dunn. These two fella have really stressed him out lately! They will not stay in the fence. Today at lunch he got a phone call from a neighbor that said that Andy was out and Barney was barking and really disturbing the neighbors! And I can tell you...that stressed him out!!!!

And here is a picture of his house...It is just perfect for him! And look at those ferns...he said that he waters them every other day! I was so proud of him that he has taken care of them so well!!

Jeff and Tommy got the fence fixed and now Andy and Barney will not get out of the fence!! Less stress on the Pastor!!! We all love him so much and he is such a blessing to all of us! Helping fix the fence was just one small way of taking a little stress off him!!!

She was going to a costume party and had us to guess who she was going to be and I got it right!!!! Yayyy!!! I am so excited!!! She is my Niece and the one that got me into doing a blog!!! I love her more than she will ever know!!!

Fall Festival 2009

I did it....for the first time ever, Jeff and I were in charge of the Fall Festival! One of the men of the church started it several years ago and He passed away almost 4 years ago. This other couple had been doing it but they gave it up and so Jeff and I were elected to do all of the events of the church and our first one was the Fall Festival!!! And I tell you what it was a lot of work...but SO much fun!!

I did a little decorating and I am not one to have a touch for decorating but my little fall area turn out pretty cute! ( I think!)

We had a moon walk!! I can promise you it was the best thing for the kids!! They all just loved it!! I think that even some of the adults like it too!!


And these two little fellas were so cute sitting out on the table!! I really have fallen in love with Scare Crows this year! I think they are the cutest things to decorate with!

We of course had the boiled peanuts and everyone really enjoyed them! We had a popcorn machine that one of the men of church, Danny was in charge of popping for everyone!

And I decided that we should have a cotton candy machine and lord have mercy at the mess it made!! I was one big sticky mess!!! But it also was enjoyed by so many!!

Britani walked around and passed it out!! Isn't she beautiful!! She has really grown up and she was such a huge help to me!!

And the one part of the night that really just to me was the best!!! Standing around the campfire!! I do not like the smoke and the smell that it leaves on me, but I love to roast hot dogs and marshmallows!!

So the Fall Festival of 2009 is over but it was so much fun!! I hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as we all did!!! Have a great day!!

Boiled Peanuts and 2 Marines!!

Boiled Peanuts...That is what I have been doing!!! I know some of you(Joyce) have been asking me what a boiled peanut is! Well this is how they start out....A big bushel bag of green peanuts!

And then you put them in water with salt and let them boil!! And they are DELICIOUS!!

My Marine helped...and really enjoyed doing it!

Well you all know I have my Marine home this weekend! And then I ended up with another one...Nick Bouchard!! He and Justin have been together since Boot-camp and we all just love him!

Chili and Pumpkin Cobbler=Justins home!!!

For a while now I have been planning dinner with Leah and Bailey! I just love them so much!!! So it just so happened that we planned dinner and Justin was coming home! And of course Justin coming home I cooked...he loves his mama's cooking! Well Leah and Bailey came and Bradley's girlfriend Libby and I cooked for all of us!!!

I cooked this crock pot full of chili...YUMMY!!!!

And I also gave a try to a Pumpkin Cobbler!!

Short and Sweet

Well short and sweet...that is me..Ha! Not alot going on for pictures yesterday, I am so sorry! I had a day of school and I sure hope that I passed. That math was HARD!! But the writing part was pretty easy. The essay had ot be on "How I want to be remembered." I felt like I was writing my ulogy! I had to explain all the good things that I thought about myself and that I hope all of my children, family and friends will remember about me when I leave this world! It really made me think about the way I think about life on a daily basis!

And now for the rest of my day after school. I went to BJ'S and got all my stuff for the Fall Festival that Jeff and I are in charge of this year! 235 hotdogs and 8 bags of chips and 10 cases of drinks! I sure hope we have enough! Jeff went to the Dekalb Farmers Market and got a Bushel of Green Peanuts. We will be washing them tomorrow and put them on to boil Friday!! I love boiled Peanuts!!!

So for now I am going to work and I will try to take some pictures today!! Well I am sure I will...Guess who is coming home!!!

Project by Bradley...

Any of you ever had a kid that waited to the last minute to get a project done?

Well I do...See that very handsome fella sitting at the table...Yes that would be the one of my children that does that to me!! So we all had to chip in and help get it done!

Britani helped with the computer work!!

And I helped with the poster!

And Bradley glued everything on...and doesn't it look good!!

I sure hope that he gets a good grade!! Or that WE get a good grade!!!

Happy Husband...

Not very often do I blog about my husband. Most of the time it is about the kids or me so I decided that I would blog about him...my husband...Jeff! We have been married for almost 21 years! And he is so very patient with me...I am a Howell and I really can put him through some trying things!!! But we won't get into all that. When we were first married and I would cook he use to tell me all the time that he was so glad that he married someone that could cook! And I did learn that from my mama!! She could cook like no-one I have ever known! He LOVES my cooking! They always tease me that I only cook good when Justin comes home! Well today I showed them...

Country Fried Steak, Gravy, Creamed Potatoes, Tiny Green Peas, and Home-Made Biscuits!!

I can promise you I had one Happy Husband and the children were pretty pleased also!!

I have school today so no telling what I will get caught up in!! This is my final week and I will be a High School Graduate!! YAYY me!!

When it's cold outside!!!

We built a fire in our fire-place! We have lived here for 2 years and we have never built a fire before!! But my children mainly Bradley wanted a fire so a fire is what he got!!!

It was a good day at church and then home for the evening! And we really enjoyed to fire it was so warm and soothing!! If you look real close the rock beside my fire-place says "Why worry when you can Pray!!" And that is the truth...Ganky gave it to me when we moved in the house!! I also want to point out the fire-place set...KellyKelly got me a gift card for my housewarming and I got it!! We put it to good use last night!! Thank you!!

Justin home and Britani's Hair

Well here he is...Home again! This son of mine LOVES to come home!! Nothing going on here he just wanted to come home! And he will be home again next weekend!! He actually gets a 72 then so he will be here a day or so longer!! YAYY!!
Then we move on to my one and only daughter that really never ask to do anything for herself and all of a sudden after I got my hair done she decided that she wanted to her something done to her hair!! So here is a before picture....

And here is After!!! She got it cut and some Highlights put in and she loves it!! It really does look good on her!! She is beautiful!!!

So that was my Saturday...I did make a huge pot of Chili and buddy with this chilly weather it was DELICIOUS!!!

Special Guest!

Well look a here!!! I had special guest...Alex and Avery came to spend the night with me! They were so much fun!! Even though Avery(the little one in the white shirt) said that my hair looked like Cruella!! I about died...She first started out asking me if I had got my hair painted...then she wanted to touch it to see if it was dry! Then she said that it was painted black and white like the lady on Dalmatian's!!

Buahahaha!!!

I just don't see the resemblance!!!

I love my new hair color...I kept the same cut because it is so easy and I really just like it!!! The gray is covered!! Praise the Lord!!

It's time for a change!!!

It is time for a change and this is the lady that is going to make that happen!!!

I have an appointment today at 3:30 to get a hair do!! I will be 40 in little over a month and I have gray hair shining through and I want it to be gone. I think I am getting tired of the hair do that I have and I sure am hoping that this sweet lady can make the change for me!! I know she is not a miracle worker but maybe she can work wonders....my sisters say she is an ANGEL!!

So what am I gonna get done...I have no clue!

I can't do any of these long hair do's my hair is way to short!! I don't like my hair long...I look OLD!! And when you are almost 40...OLD is not what you want to look like!!!

And now what color???? Oh who knows....I am up for anything at this point! Just as long at it gets rid of the gray that is shining!! I don't mind change of color and I am not afraid to try anything once. After all it is just hair!!!

And after she does the coloring she will get these babies out and cut it to what ever she thinks is best!! I am just gonna trust her!!! She stepped out on faith and stopped to see my sister that has the house that flooded and gave her ice and money and I am gonna step out on faith and trust her to give me a hair do make-over!!

I can't wait! I will have pictures...before, during and after!!!!

Look what I got!!!

Look what I got...A Blackberry curve...Isn't it just so cute! Well it may be cute but it is way smarter than I am! It does alot more than I can figure out how to do! But I guess I will be doing more learning! Not just school anymore...PHONE!!!

I will be working on it every free moment...I even have facebook on there...so excited!!!

The twins got new phone also...but of course they know how to use theirs already!! I can barely figure out how to answer mine and they have mastered theirs!! But I am 23 years older than them!! I will learn...in time!!!
