A Special Day

Wow...A day full of Marines!!! We started out with a trip onto Camp Lejeune, which I found out today is actually to be pronounced Lejurn. But which ever way you say it, that place is just neat!! I love to go to the MCX and see all the Marine Corp stuff!! I did manage to get the 3 of my children to stand still long enough to get a quick picture!! We had a really good day!!
So here are my two Marines that have been together since bootcamp and will be deployed together!! They just are so much fun to be around and really make you not think about the fact that they are leaving in just a couple of days!! I did meet one of Justins squad leaders and this is his 3rd deployment and he really made me feel much better about all this! He explained that they have satellite phones and they let them use them most of the time once a week!!! And that it is not that bad over and that they will only be gone 7 months since they are sending so many troops over!! :) I can do 7 months!!! :)

Here is a picture of Nick and His Parents!! Debbie and Jeff!!

And here are the 4 kids we had to entertain us this weekend!! Look how happy they all are!!

Well this was just a great weekend but as most say all good things must come to an end!! I will be heading home today!!! And today is a very special day!! It is someones Birthday....

  5. Thanks, everyone, for the Birthday Wishes. I told Avery is was my Birthday and she said "Who is coming over with cake?". Too cute. Sounds like the deployment is not so scary after all. Had you not gone up there, you would not have received some pertinent information! Glad you went. Alex will have to get back to her "bring Justin home safe" prayer like she did at Boot Camp! Love you ALL! Squeeze him for me!!!!!
